Overview:

Electric Vehicles are a key part of our tomorrow and how we get there. If we can get all the fossil fuel vehicles off our roads, out of our seas and out of our skies, we'll have a much better environment. This community is where we discuss the various different vehicles and news stories regarding electric transportation.

Tesla registrations in Queensland have been in steady decline since the electric car manufacturer’s CEO, Elon Musk, fully embraced the far-right in the US and around the globe.

Data from the Department of Transport and Main Roads show annual Tesla registrations decreased by 34.97 per cent between 2023 and 2025.

That came on the back of a 245.31 per cent increase between 2021 and 2023 – and 1144.89 per cent between 2020 and 2023.

BYDs contain plenty of bullshit and are a complete privacy nightmare.

Every modern car is a privacy nightmare selling driving data to insurance companies.

You know there are other EVs than Chinese and Tesla’s right? They’re all privacy nightmares though, but at least your data goes somewhere a little more you-friendly.

For a Western person data going into the US is far worse than to China.

Straight to the US since that is Kia and Hyundai's largest market

Tesla are collecting from the cameras, microphones, location, etc.

I don't need an app for my car (dunno if Tesla requires one, I have never even considered one because of the build quality issues and the fact that Elmo is a fucking nazi)

You don't need an app to use a Tesla, but you're missing out on a lot by not using it if you own one.

Probably the same for many OEMs.
