Sure but I reckon you didn't learn about Charlie and the Chocolate Factory for the first time from its extremely vocal pedophile fanbase. Because, you know, that doesn't exist.
Just because you did not come across a discussion of pedos about which movies they like most, does not mean it does not exist.
Prior to this thread I did not know about this game in this way. So what does that say about you? Nothing really, aside from that you were unlucky enough to come across the wrong space of internet.
And honestly I doubt that it will have any real impact on the game. You never heard about it before? Then you would not have bought it anyways. You wanted to get it before? You probably won't let a vocal fringe minority keep you from consuming what you want.
It does mean that whatever pedophiles may be present there are not extremely vocal, unlike in discussions about this game.
Maybe you are surprised about pedophiles on reddit of all things but I really am not. One of the very reasons I left reddit was their unhealthy obsession with pedophilia. Guess what kind of people are obsessed with pedophilia? Maybe the same thing happened on other spaces about this game, but right now we are talking about reddit spaces and there are not many good things I have to say about those. If you will stay away from this game due to this that is absolutely ok though.
