Balls of steel, color me jealous!
I've been flying experimental for my whole life and a bunch of my friends have these things too. A good deal popped up on marketplace so I jumped on it. Now I'm waiting for spring so I can bang out some training and practice.
Sick! When I lived in FL I would see guys following the coast in these things, pretty gnarly! Have a blast man
Where/how do you practice?
As a lay person, I'd guess that over water, where you can fall safely.
But then there's the whole drowning thing.
Large empty areas or small airports in class g airspace. Water is a no go, these things kill people when they splash down. There are automatic inflating floatation devices designed for these things to keep them from dragging you down.
Good luck with your endeavors.
Thanks for the reply.
That strategy didn't work out for John Denver. Be careful.
I am not an adrenaline junkie, but I do take risks. I've flown in an open cockpit plane, done snowmobiles and jet skis, paraglided, and I love scuba.
You ain't getting me within a thousand yards* of one of those.

Experimental Airships are like Experimental Firearms: They're very interesting when you can watch someone else demonstrate them, at a safe distance.
