I love having short hair, like short and spiked in back with long sweep bangs in front, because my hair is very fine and thick, so very staticky and limp and stick straight and boring, but I usually keep it tuck-into-pants long.
It grows about an inch a month, and I’m not swapping my routines from “cut 8-10 inch off once per year at most” to “cut once a month or more or have it look like shit”. I can’t afford that at $65/cut anyway.
I did have that super short cute style for a couple years and I loved it, but the upkeep suuuuuuuucked. I had the energy for it back then tho, cuz it was also doing fun colors I’d swap out every week or so. But the upkeep on long hair that I never leave down is also starting to suck so idk.. maybe I’ll go back to fun colors, make the cuts worth it. Learn to maintain the back myself (I already do the bangs myself, they are the same I have now, so)
