So ive been using OSMAnd~ on F-Droid so far and im quite Happy with it :D
Sadly its UI is quite clunky and i literally could not find my Destination where i had to go to even tho ive downloaded the Entire Map of Germany -.-
Can anyone by chance recomenned me some Good Apps that wouldnt rely on MicroG or can be easily gotten from F-Droid or similiar FOSS Android Stores? :D

It looks nice, but is there a technical reason why every OSM based App needs me to downlad map data before using it, rather than loading it "on the fly" like Google Maps does?

I think they are more focused on being offline apps.

which i also prefer personally tho itd do love to have something like setting up "an Instance" and then pointing it to that map data url simply instead of local device storage :P

Organic Maps was the best map for a long time, so it's not really a surprise that CoMaps, which is the continuity of Organic Maps from the devs, without the toxic parent company, is now at the top

BTW you can download it directly from their website, or install it with Obtainium (to get auto updates) instead of F-Droid. Accrescent still lists Organic and not Co, though

CoMaps has a good UI and the map looks less cluttered, but it lacks quite a few of the features of OsmAnd like public transport routing.
