Rules…

  1. Women only… trans women are women, and transphobic or gender critical talk isn’t allowed. Anyone under the trans umbrella (e.g. non-binary, bigender, agender) is free to decide whether a women's community is a good fit for them.
  2. Don’t be a dick. No personal attacks, no aggression, play nice.
  3. Don’t hate on groups, hatefilled talk about groups is not allowed. Ever.
  4. No governmental politics, so no talk of Trump actions etc. We recommend Feminism@beehaw.org for that, but here is an escape from it.

Curious to know if there are other women who have chosen to not shave!

Why did you decide to forgo the razor and how do you feel about it now?

I’ve always been a bit anti-establishment and don’t ascribe to many society held standards for women. But I still shaved most of my body hair from the time I was a teenager until a couple of years ago. The journey through deciding to not shave and then going out into the world hairy really surprised me - I felt a freedom that I wasn’t expecting to feel so relieving. Empowering.

So I’m curious - what’s your shaving or not shaving journey?

I hate shaving so I don't do it anymore. My husband understands.

Sometimes I ponder shaving my armpits still, cause the deoderant seems to work better after that.

Gel deodorant works much better with hair in my experience :)

I've tried gel and without fail I must be allergic to something, it itches like mad!
