The job of a firefighter is more noble but, in the US, they're about as likely to be chuds as their neighbors.

Yes! That's the even crazier part. They are systemically a positive force on society despite a pretty significant portion of them being awful pieces of shit. Plenty of people hate a firefighter for good reasons, but nobody hates Firefighters
