Just a note to my fellow rangers, these ball throwers are dirt cheap, practically disposal, and they don't just throw tennis balls.
But you'll need to find a plentiful, consistent and convenient source of projectiles for it.
Also a different ~~ball thrower~~ sling stick that can handle the additional weight and force.
Make the handle more springy though, like with two bound sheets (like in a crossbow).
Then double as a sorcerer.
If you or someone you know has a colostomy, they have a great supply of ammunition.
