how can Reddit enforce that users can't use their own API key? LIke what?
Like, I understand the dev not wanting to pursue this further but if Reddit is going to keep a free API key available with 100/requests per minute or whatever it is....in what world is Reddit able to enforce how users consume the data they receive from their own API key? Like, using the data for financial gain or research purposes would be one thing but just...consuming it using a different frontend?
From what I hear, they control who can get an API key and don't plan on giving them out to just anyone who asks.
