You're not ensuring the safety of anyone by refusing to oppose Donald Trump. You're endangering them all. Safety comes with solidarity and numbers. Danger comes from unopposed autocrats.
Safety doesn’t only come from solidarity and numbers, danger comes in many forms and through many means.
Kyle Gass’ comment threatened the safety and security of everyone involved with their international tour, employee, fan and etc at a time of heightened political tension.
Cancelling the tour was to the benefit of others and should not be seen as Jack Black agreeing with Donald Trump or disagreeing with what Kyle Gass said, it was the responsible thing to do.
The two things can be true.
Are you honestly saying that Tenacious D cancelling their tour endangered everyone?
Yes, I do say that, particularly Kyle Gass. Jack Black should have not made a big deal out of the joke at all, but furthermore Jack Black should have stood alongside Kyle and everyone else who opposes Trump. The more people who openly vocally oppose Trump, the safer they all are. Jack Black cancelling the tour did not magically make Kyle unsay the words, far from it.
I'm an old tenacious d fan, everything from the movie and after is rehashed crap
Kyle Gas is my hero. Fuck Jack for not being vocal, at the very least
