I never heard of this until you made me look it up, and I'm guessing you're talking about Williams-Beuren syndrome.

Technically, it's not a disease. A chunk of your DNA just commits suicide before you are born and can result in cardiovascular issues. I don't think anyone is trying to cure being friendly, I think they just want to make sure the heart keeps pumping blood like it should.
