Yes it's not an objective material analysis, it's a crude inference that in online arguments where length of replies is constrained and the goal is to sway readers rather than the interlocutor is a useful rhetorical device that helps even the most 'apolitical' identify the enemy and their moral character

Ultimately the advisability of its use depends on the context of said use
