We drive too much as Americans. That local transit ticket doesn't look so bad now. (public transportation should be free.)

Unironically Trump my reduce domestic dependence on oil... But Isreal is attacking oil fields and infrastructure so no global carbon benefits. Everyday people getting screwed over. I'm sure the top 1% aren't missing any vaccination or family gatherings due to TSA issues, gas prices, nor the guillotine will change their mind on how society should work.

Even African countries like Morocco have high speed train network. But the US? Of course no. How can you invade a country for wind or sunshine? Than again with the current bunch of science denying fuck wits in charge, you'll never know. They don't need any excuse or justification. The US is stuck in the 19th century in regards to infrastructure.

Not all "oil" is the same. Us had very little heavy crude oil. Hint to why we are at war with or trying to overthrow the governments of the two places with that kind of oil. So yes we export oil, but in the form of LNG and Shell/Coal.
