You probably have several products in your home delivered by a fleet of nuclear powered ships. Currently, the only tech capable of solving our energy needs is nuclear. And the new reactors are safer than the ones that come to mind with melt downs.

The first one went online a couple years ago...

Doesn't mean it's still okay for the environment. Those ships need to be transitioned to nuclear.

That's not even enough time to even on board that many employees! Background checks alone with vetting.

No this one has more handouts for tech companies that bribed, I mean donated money to trump.

See how this work? Republicans, neo-liberals, and capitalist create a problem. Then fix the problem through private contracts and bail outs. Privatize the gains, collectivism for everything else.

As an African American, those 250 years of building was never for us, so while I'm happy that our unjust systems are crumbling under their own weight of stupidity. I wish it was being properly dismantled brick by brick from the left opposed to knocked over by what appears to be two elderly men with clearly anti social sociopathic and toxic masculinity, driving a triangle shaped truck that struggled to drive up a curb. The wall has just fallen on top of the poor, POC, and LGBTQ+ community. And the capitalist are going to just see the heep of bodies and bricks as a new road to drive over.

Remember that episode of South Park where the Catholic priest saw child rape and exploration as a kind of perks of the job. Whelp they hit the nail right on the head 10 years ago with that one and it's still relevant to this day.

Right! That move got him on the short list of possible popes. If the church actually made any remediation towards their victims they would be broke. And since they can't make things right from their past actions they'll never stop doing those acts. Organized religion will always lead to corruption and abuse.

They've crippled most nonprofits and small corporations. Mission accomplished. They'll use the windfall from a new free trade agreement to snap up market share and assets. And about 100 years later, rinse and repeat.

And if the government tries to be proactively prevent this kind of stuff from ever happening... Communism! Or whatever.

The whole ideology of conservatism is to conserve the status quo. Literally waking up to reality is being against anyone still a conservative.

I still remember the look on my dad's face after he learned I had gave the music teacher the middle finger.

Just watched a chain restaurant employees do their hourly picture taking of the store to send off to corporate through a locked down tablet. I asked them about it. Turns out corporations are now using tablets and Ai to manage stores. Holy shit

Seems to me there was no reason for the Biden administration, the DNC, and the Harris campaign to continue supporting Isreal. They lost millions of votes on that decision alone.

I get the history as to why we got to our current economic situations, but no one is arguing for a system that casts off current economic issues that are pushing humanity towards destruction. I'm not saying this can happen over night or even within our current life time, but it's obvious that capitalism and even socialism has reached the end of their usefulness.
