That isn't true. Several Democrats are being primaried by progressive candidates and winning. But that is a slow process. People that tell you revolution, that overthrowing the government, is the only way will not tell you the death toll that will come with that. If someone tells you revolution is the only option, they want you to not vote. And that should be a warning to you.

If you want to prepare for a revolution, fine. Donate to a food shelf. Create mutual aid networks. Meet your neighbors. Plant a food garden. Find or make your local leftist group. Help a food kitchen. Start small and prepare. A general strike or any other revolution needs preparation to work, and that doesn't exist. Yet. And while that happens, vote. Show up to primaries. Show up to the ballot. MAGA Republicans will do their best to harm your allies, and you need as many of the people around as you can get.

It's not a slow process. Incrementalism is what the oligarchy convinces voters of what's needed to create progress. Incrementalism hides the slow progressive march to the right.

Liberals have been making a claim for incrementalism/slow process for over 150 years.

Buddy... Voting and bureaucracy and legal processes are slow. Revolution is quick. But what safeguards are you proposing and preparing for a revolution?

Because I gotta say, you are saying nothing helpful to anyone. No guides. No groups. No information. You're just, and I hate to say this, some dumbass on the internet spouting nonsense. Your ramblings do not get you to your goal. Rethink yourself.

They are only slow to prohibit progress. Slow it down enough so voters can move on the the next they they are outraged about while providing empty vessels to prevent immediate change that will threaten the system

Do you not know how our candidates are chosen? Like, there is a caucus and primary system that exists that let's us choose our candidates. My candidates are the same ones pushing for mural aid structures. My candidates are the ones setting up leftist groups. My candidates are filming ICE, dropping off groceries, feeding the hungry, housing the unhoused.

I'm sorry if your elections aren't like that, but if you get involved in your local politics, you'll find these slow progress makers that you seem to think don't exist.

Such a collection of cliches and platitudes....are you going to say anything of substance at some point? Do you have a coherent plan of action... Or is it business as usual on Lemmy here?

There is substance, but liberals stop listening when they hear the word no
