I think open carry of weapons is common in most D&D settings.
I had the players go into one area where the bad guys had a magic mouth checking for weapons and foci. One clever bastard actually found all the material components inside that he needed to fuck everyone's shit up.

It's the unfettered, solipsistic violence that's the core issue, not as much which instruments the used for such. 😅🤓
