Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). 3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Trump told a lengthy story about negotiating over the price of Sharpie pens. The company says it has no record of any such conversation.

I love Sharpie. But I can find something else if they cut some Trump deal.

As far as anybody can tell, he made the whole thing up. The sharpies for signing are real, but likely are standard sharpies that somebody silk-screened a logo onto.

Why they dry out within hours, smudge nonstop, not even a good shade of black, wipe clean with hand sanitizer on hard surfaces, and bleed to Illegibility on paper. Literal bad at everything they are the maga of pens.

Hold up, you’re saying they wipe off when cleaned with strong alcohol based cleaning solution? Weird.

Yeah, surprisingly enough, rubbing alcohol makes a great degreaser, it's also good for like, when you take a sticker or a label off of something, and it leaves a residue behind? That stuff, rubbing alcohol takes it right off.

Personal anecdote, one of my buddies in college had the misfortune of "being the first guy to fall asleep at the party" so of course we drew a bunch of dicks and stuff on his face. The only thing we could find to clean it off the next day was a bottle of 90% isopropyl, and a little bit got into his eye, he got so mad that he punched a hole in his bathroom wall.

"strong alchol based cleaning solution" lol how is kindergarten going for you? You’ll get it this this time foe sho.

Only on Lemmy would someone get indignant about pens…. you don’t have to love Sharpie, just accept that the world includes some who do. It’s ok.
