How would movies, tv shows, anime and entertainment be created under socialism? Like, would people pitch in ideas to the government and the government would decide if they want to finance the movie? (lemmygrad.ml)

Do writers just go and present their scripts?

What would be the metrics of approval or disapproval?

Would there be a people’s council for that and democratic vote to distribute funds for a particular type of movie?

So many questions 😂

I think you would have multiple ways for financing. As you said government at multiple leves might choose to finance different types of movies. You’d have student films where everybody is just working for fun. And you’d have something similar to crowdfunding.
