Thanks for this! According to the product page, the default cables are '12 V DC ±25%, Max. 5.32W'. A quick googling tells me PoE can be anywhere from 12-70V. Would I be correct in assuming that this cable is also fairly low-risk? I know it's not outdoor rated however.

Oh, ok. I can’t speak to electrical code on that, but if it were me, I wouldn’t worry about safety

If it’s not outdoor rated, you need to watch out for UV from sunlight and getting wet. If that keeps it out of the rain and sun, it still might have a shorter life

I personally would go for it, given that cameras are pretty cheap and what we see of the install is easy. I don’t think anyone could put a number on life expectancy so it’s a gamble vs cost of replacing or impact if it dies. I don’t know whether it’s good advice though
