Quick, we need to get the /r/wallstreetbets folks in here to tell us how not to read it!

[-] slashzero@hakbox.social 12 points 2 years ago

Did anyone create the !wallstreetbets community here yet?

[-] pitninja@lemmy.ml 9 points 2 years ago

There was a picture of one instance's user count that was mostly a flat line until recently, now it looks like a right angle ๐Ÿ˜‚. Can't remember if it was Beehaw or a different one though

[-] slashzero@hakbox.social 10 points 2 years ago

Probably beehaw or lemmy.world, although a lot of instances are getting new users.

it'll probably plateau; saw similar during Twitter/Mastodon migration waves

[-] ArtificialLink@lemmy.ml 4 points 2 years ago

Which is a shame. I hope more people see a reason to leave reddit.

Most people are apathetic to this sort of thing; they just want whatever content they are already getting. They'll use the official app or the web app as long as possible. Onboarding onto federated alternatives is also complicated for normies.

Doesn't change my own reasons for leaving though ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ
