SmartTube is good for TVs as well. Interface is almost identical to the YT app, except it has quality of life features like Adblock and SponsorBlock, plus you can shrink down the size of the thumbnails to something more reasonable.
Never understood why TV apps have to be blown up so much, especially given that the average TV size is around 55" these days.
(Edit: I'm sure that FreeTube does the same things, but it's good to have options)
