Bei Wikipedia steht:

Salmiakpastillen, Salmiaklakritze, Salzlakritz oder kurz Salmiak sind Pastillen, die Süßholzwurzelextrakt (Lakritze), Salmiaksalz (Ammoniumchlorid) und oftmals Anisöl enthalten. Sie sind besonders in Nordeuropa sehr beliebt.

Da Lakritz nur Süßholzwurzelextrakt ist, sind die Salmiaklakritze nicht die Normalen.
