Its like those Wikipedia articles stating that certain countries dislike China because of how it treats muslims and the source if NYT covering a single demonstration.
Because that's how journalists refer to people. The first time they're mentioned, it's with their title, and after that it's by Mr/Ms. This isn't anything new.
