Judging by the look of it in the pic I'd guess it's those silicon balls that LEDs can be put into, so it'd be squishy and not shatter

Actually a pretty smart use of led tech

It says "...each ball has a battery in it that powers an internal LED bulb which lasts for up to 30 minutes on its own."

Then the next sentence starts with "The night-light glow balls also have no electronics in them..." So which is it?

I, too, was bothered by that. I was hoping they were phosphorescent rather than LED.

The Amazon listing says the balls are phosphorescent and doesn't mention batteries.
