to me hating picrew avatars is just a weird off branch of the usual proxy-homophobia that exists
I myself am queer. Are you about to say I have internalized homophobia? Over Picrew avis's?
As am I, and can remember when a very popular malevolent white girl sic'd her hordes of three-nos on queer spaces explicitly not meant for them with picrews; so this whole "hating picrews is just proxy-homophobia" is setting off all the alarm klaxons
I have literally never heard of this and either way stereotyping something that is primarily used by members of the queer community as “bad” is ridiculous anyways

Im running out of grace to offer you. This is just annoying asf shit, who even cares what someone else’s avatar is if it isn’t a dog whistle, inappropriate, or some other offensive image? There are people who legitimately have gotten happiness and gender euphoria from making picrew avatars and I fail to see why some white assholes that also have them diminishes that.

Plenty of queer people hated on Guardian Spice when it came out because it was the hip new thing, but the whole trend of hating on it (despite it being a legitimately terrible show otherwise) was only really fueled by homophobia in the first place, regardless of what those who jumped on the train afterward believed. Same exact vibes I’ve gotten about picrew hate, furry hate, everything.

All I know is that whenever I see a Picrew avi, I'm likely to see the most dogshit take next to it (see above). It's not that I think it's like cringe in itself or whatever. Anecdotal evidence to be sure, but there you have it.
