There is a chance that this is an extension of the incel/ red pill fantasy. This story is used to reinforce the idea that even if you find the perfect girl you'll end up miserable anyways, so why try? Come be nazis with the rest of us miserable bastards, restore "order" to the world.
... some of that is analysis based on worse case scenarios, but it is a thing that happens. I recommend quarantine and inoculation to the local populace. This story is likely not true or not the whole story. I wouldn't share it.
