I felt lemmy was successful the first time I was attacked by a hyperfixated debatelord just like on reddit. If cloning the reddit experience in the fediverse was the goal, for me mission accomplished ๐
Shame you had to end up dealing with that guy. I still think it's less common hear so far
It can depend on the hour, sometimes.
But that's honestly anywhere online. There's a fight to be had damn near anywhere
It's the best of both worlds. When I'm in a fightin' mood it's easy enough to find a troll to mess with. But at the same time I've found a lot of lovely small communities where everyone is polite and focused on sharing their experiences rather than attacking others for theirs. It was harder to find communities like that on reddit, they existed, but maybe just not for the interests I held at the time.
mind sharing those communities?
HA! So true!! One thing you can do here you can't on reddit is pick fights with instances.
