This is a great example to explain it to people who are familiar with the topic. But if I tell that to a "random" friend, word for word, they won't know what I'm talking about :D

How do you propose they would even hypothetically EEE the fediverse, without it just leading to them being defederated later like it never happened?

This is a lot closer to Google moving into the email market in 2004 than any of the classic examples of EEE.
