Not like it would be all that hard to find somebody willing to slowly loose (ie, sell) arms of Chinese manufacture to Western military and intelligence agencies for just this type of PSYOP.

[–] Mardoniush@hexbear.net 22 points 1 year ago (3 children)

Or, you know, china sold to Iran, or another third party which then smuggled them into Gaza. Do people think Gaza is home cooking rpg-7s? I doubt they can manufacture much more than a sten gun.

[–] GinAndJuche@hexbear.net 29 points 1 year ago (2 children)

they have a surprising amount of production down in those tunnels. We’ve already seen videos demonstrating the CNC guys making a sniper rifle and explosives experts making a homegrown PG-7VR

[–] RyanGosling@hexbear.net 15 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Forgotten Weapons analyzed the video and said it was fake. It’s possible that they didn’t want to expose their process since we know they’re actually capable of home grown weapons.

known chud channel, zero faith in them being accurate. The asshole wrote a book sucking off azov.

[–] Tunnelvision@hexbear.net 20 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Completely agree with the overall channel assessment, but I will say coming from a manufacturing background the point about not using coolant when turning the barrel is pretty true, but I genuinely think they’re probably just hiding their manufacturing process.

Good to know, thanks for the knowledge.

He didn't actually write it, his company was going to publish it. Still a sign of shit judgement/morals.

[–] JohnBrownNote@hexbear.net 13 points 1 year ago

ah yes the heady days when most english speaking people would acknowledge that azov are nazis after reading about them for two minutes

[–] GinAndJuche@hexbear.net 8 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Good correction, I did misremember that

[–] JohnBrownNote@hexbear.net 12 points 1 year ago

he did side against the "second amendment is for everyone" lib shit coming from his former collaborator.

he plays neutral well in his regular videos but neutrality means siding with the oppressor

[–] Mardoniush@hexbear.net 10 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Well that's good to hear. but in any case, I'm sure they've smuggled in any number of weapons from "Bad Country" simply because said country makes a lot of cheap guns.

[–] GinAndJuche@hexbear.net 13 points 1 year ago

fair, I just wanted to make sure people knew Gaza is making at least some of the tools they are liberating themselves with.

[–] D61@hexbear.net 7 points 1 year ago

Yup.

(Also, they could probably cobble together everything except the actual explosive charge with enough punch to do damage to armor.)

[–] ShimmeringKoi@hexbear.net 7 points 1 year ago

They've actually surprised me, they can make pretty decent anti-material rifles

[–] Pluto@hexbear.net 14 points 1 year ago (1 children)

True, but, I mean, the Chinese break the blockade against the DPRK all the time; I could definitely see them doing this (basically, looking the other way, essentially).

[–] D61@hexbear.net 7 points 1 year ago

Maybe...

I guess it would explain a bit better the statement some Chinese official made (and was posted somewhere around hexbear a few weeks? ago) about China supporting the "Two State Solution".

[–] oregoncom@hexbear.net 3 points 1 year ago (1 children)

Could be somthing infinitely dumber like some of the raw materials the Palestinians using having Chinese writing on them since they came from China. Like in like 2006 or something the Israelis were claiming Hamas had Chinese rockets because the water pipes they were using to make rockets were from China. It's been a meme for a while.

[–] D61@hexbear.net 2 points 1 year ago

Damnit... the most obvious thing and I didn't even think of that... hangs head in shame
