No idea why I thought it'd be different, but I did my 7 day covid retest and it was instantly positive, like the minute the liquid hit the little thingy.
Really just want the contagious window to end so I can start taking care of myself and leave my bedroom, seven days is a long time to be stuck in a shoebox of a bedroom, even if I can't do much with myself.
I think I've asked this before but anyway I know you like period dramas. Have you watched The Village? It's a true story set in ww1. It's on SBS on demand and it's very good.
Get well soon banana.
Yes! I originally tuned in for Maxine Peake but soon found myself really sucked into it. Sort of reminded me of Home Fires which was brilliant (still mad they cancelled it)!
Maxine Peake is such a good actress. I loved Home Fires too.
Lark Rise to Candleford, Cranford, All Creatures great and small, Land Girls, Parades End, My Mother And Other Strangers, World On Fire are a few more that I've watched and liked.
And of course there's all those turn back time documentaries that are great to watch.
Yes!! All of those are so good, espcially Lark Rise and ACGAS (both versions, although the new one kinda wins out by a little because I love Anna Madeley, Samuel West, and Callum Woodhouse) just so fkn cosy, they make me feel all warm and toasty inside.
You've probably seen it, but The Durrells is 10/10 period drama, everything about it is excellent!
The Durrells is a good watch. The book was good too. And The Larkins which was somehow connected to the Darling Buds Of May. Well you're like me who loves this stuff. All I can recommend now are books that are similar.
Nella Last and Helen Forrester are 2 authors that wrote books that are some of the best reads I've ever read.
I've had both of those authors recommended to me before. I've been looking for my next read since I didn't line anything up after an indugent reread of Phillip Pullmans' series, so maybe I might make a start with those. In saying that I have a sneaky suspicion that I read The Latchkey Kid by Forrester many moons ago.
I feel you. I'm having cabin fever for different reasons and am ready to start plucking my hair out.
Music or birdsong videos while doing something helps
Kinda wanky but I've been watching lots of POV hiking vids which has semi helped.
Minecraft can be good too, kind of gives the illusion that you're going somewhere. I've got bored with it though. I put it on peaceful because I cbf fighting mobs anymore and can't seem to actually finish any projects
That's rough. I hope you're at least feeling a bit better.
I'd say if you're not displaying symptoms but the rats are still + it's probably okay to go for walks in the open air.
Interestingly open air treatment has been around for some time:

Oh, I am still very much visibly and physically sick, and would not have a good time if I left my bed. But just having the option to make my own food and leave my bedroom if I wanted to would be nice.
This desire to do something means you are on the road to getting better. Your brain has no longer shut you down.
hugs
.
You can go outside for a walk surely (weather permitting).
Awww this is so sweet, thank you! But apart from being bed ridden I am also on a completely liquid/puree diet, covid decided to decimate every inch of me in retaliation for missing it for so long, and as a result my mouth is a giant ulcer fest.
ok whatcha wanna do is chuck a roomy a $20 and get them to nip to the chemist and get this. MAKE SURE THEY GET THE JELLY AND NOT THE OINTMENT
Ignore the circumcision thing, the jelly is perfectly fine for oral use as well. That shit meant that I was able to eat when my entire mouth was a giant weeping sore due to chemo complications
