Damn. The way you worded the original comment, I thought he'd crashed or fallen afoul of track limits (such a cursed concept now...).

Don't worry, he only got eliminated in Q1...

Commentators saying this is the fifth time in a row. That's got to hurt. Stats like that building up are very noticeable and get bandied around by the people that matter.

[โ€“] SatouKazuma@lemmy.world 4 points 2 years ago

Yeah...that's ugly

[โ€“] BoomBoomLemon@lemmy.world 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Heโ€™s slow. Is that any better?

[โ€“] SatouKazuma@lemmy.world 2 points 2 years ago (1 children)

For conveying the message? Yes. For Checo? Not really...

[โ€“] BoomBoomLemon@lemmy.world 1 points 2 years ago (1 children)

Iโ€™m a Redbull and Checo fan so the season has been equal parts ecstatic and not. Iโ€™m also a fan of the sport so itself and generally cheer for many drivers/teams.

Fair enough. I'm a Red Bull and Tsunoda fan, so this season has been...decidedly a mixed fan for me as well. I'd love to see Yuki at RB, though. I think that would be a good way to really unleash his potential, as opposed to watching him basically drive roadkill on wheels.

I was not sold on Yuki but Iโ€™d like to see him in top tier car. I think we can agree: no way for Danny. I think that would be a bad look.
