The nationalism, the colonial centric pedagodgy, class disparity, industrial poisoning of local communities, and thats just in the first 3 episodes of the season. Episode 3 has some good materialism.

Avatar has a lot to say. Its a good show.

Another movie that portrayed the facist state very well, though it went right over most viewers' heads, was "Starship Troopers." From the pro-nationalism and militarism to the gray eagle-crested uniforms, it was a perfect representation, including the pride and the feeling of military might (see, leni riefenstahl's "the Triumph of the Will," and you'll see why Nazism was so engaging and attractive a movement).
