Sometimes there's food in my sink. Sometimes I'll do the right thing and put it in the bin. At other times I'm lazy as fuck and jam it down the plug hole.
Just buy a strainer that goes over the sink hole. It's going to save you money in the long run.
Why would I do something sensible like that?
Because it will elevate you to the smart lane instead of the lazy lane with a simple piece of metal with holes in it.
I hope you have a good plumber on tap to clear the drain out occasionally. Drano can only do so much.
It's not usually heaps of food. Like it might be say one thin piece of carrot. Done it for a long time and I've never had to use draino etc.
My guilty pleasure. I hate wet soggy food
