So is it just me or it looks like Takatou killed the concept of sight from the dude rather than just killing his eyes since even new eyeballs didn't restore his senses?

I think so, since he can kill ghosts too so it isn't tied to material functionality.
Strange how he was able to do that, but not kill a limb or other parts of the body.
I wonder if it works on other senses, like hearing, or smell?
Maybe it's too difficult for him cos just regular killing is much easier and efficient.
