I wish I could not pay 1/3 of my income to credit card debt, I should be fine now I am no longer paid in beans and instead finally make a human being sized salary, but I pay so much towards credit card debt each month that I am still forced to go even deeper into debt just to get by, not even to thrive. I can only count my blessings that most of it is interest free, and in time, I will reach an equilibrium where my income is finally high enough to make a dent in it.

Loan servicers are the first to get the wall. In a just society predatory interest rates would have never left the drawing board. One asshole would have suggested it, someone else would have beat his ass, and that would have been the end of it.

Interest free credit card debt? How did you manage that trick?

Infinite balance transfer hack, although I am gonna have to wait some time to exercise this again because somebody recorded a default on my credit file recently and even though it's paid it's gonna take a while for the damage to be repaired

I reduced my medical debt from over 300 euros a month to just under 200 euros a month, but it still greatly limits my ability to pick up jobs, max rent and so on. My situation is nowhere near as bad as yours, but with my very limited income and ongoing medical issues, it does feel like the end of the world. So, sorry for not being in as dire of a situation as you while relating, but I feel you. 🫂

That sucks, it is so frustrating just not being able to live normally because of debt

Yea. I spent months-years trying to get the loan in my name, because I was unable to get it at all when I needed a surgery to walk, and my very abusive mother agreed to take it in her name after me begging, because, again, I needed a surgery to walk (I was in such crippling pain I was being left unable to walk after a short walk). I was paying the debt for years and no bank would give me the loan in my name. I finally managed through a bank which applies to another bank which is already a subsidary of another bank - applying to those banks directly ironically didn't give me the loan. The system is so broken. At least I am now more free than I was not long ago. I hope for your full freedom soon.
