All of them suck. I through many and they always suck. They usually neither give you an adequate shave nor don't cut into your skin. I wish there was a new technology for trimming body hair ugh aaaaaaaAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Definitely use a safety razor for your face.
Otherwise, use a regular electric razor for your body.
I'm fully aware, I know they won't magically make me have baby hairless smooth skin, I just need an electric shaver for personal reasons, I tried hair removal creams and they're not for me

i'm a partisan of rechargeable over replacable batteries, and the blades/heads need to be easily removable for cleaning. the other thing to look for is the piston? drive shaft? the part that moves being made of metal instead of plastic (but sometimes plastic is durable if well designed, ymmv) but more importantly if that piston is exposed & can get clogged by hair. most of my problems with electric razors have been plastic bits busting or a clog in the moving parts that can't be easily cleaned because it was designed by an idiot
For anyone interested, if you're looking for a shaving alternative for body hair, years and years ago (
) back when I used to keep my genital area hair free, i used Magic Shave. Which (at the time) was a depilatory cream marketed towards black men for balding their heads. It worked really well, and over time even thinned the hair that grew back for a while. I just didn't keep up with it. I'd test a little on a nonsensitive area of skin first, but if it doesn't give you any issues it's a great alternative to shaving.
The only advice I have as someone who has trimmed and shaved for many many years is to get two razors; one should be a real "close shave" kinda razor and one should be a beard trimmer. Basically any area you want real smooth go over it with the beard trimmer first to get the hairs down low and short, and then go over it again with the actual razor. This has always helped me get the closest shave especially if you don't keep up on it. If you do it every day then you may not need the beard trimmer but I think it helps.
Anyway I hope this helps. I will say basically all razors suck these days. I replaced my cheapo one recently with one of those ridiculously expensive ones and honestly the cheapo one did a better job. So basically they must all be totally shit.
This apparently has close shaves, but it's expensive as fuck.
