We do have a higher upvote to contributor ratio than them

Does that mean we are zombies? Just hobbling along here and there.

It's pretty much just you, me, and coaxial for the most part.

I think they made a movie about it back in the 80s with Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Chevy Chase.

Damn which one of you has to be Chevy Chase?

Also: swap Chevy Chase out for Selina Gomez and the daily thread suddenly becomes a much more intriguing place.

I like to think we might at least be like the fast zombies from 28 days later, rather than your more common slow varieties :)

"Have your tolls processed as soon as possible. Avoid fines. Please pay before the deadline."

-From EastLink NSW.

Love the sense of urgency, but I think youse got the wrong number and state...again.

I've had a few roll scams recently. The first one of them could well have actually gotten me, had I used toll tunnels any time recently.

Overdue Toll Notice: A toll fee of $5.83 has not been paid. To steer clear of penalties, please pay at [bitly link]

It was so simple and to the point, and it happened to be the first thing I saw in the morning before my head was properly cleared. I don't know what I would have seen if I had clicked, and frankly if it was just phishing it's very unlikely to have gotten money out of me, but it got very close to convincing me to take that first click.

It's kind of scary how the simple ones are the ones that nearly get you. One moments lack of concentration could cause so much grief.

I was actually spooked by a legit ATO message once.

I've actually had a bunch of texts from someone alleging to be the ATO recently. Pestering me about providing proof for FHSS scheme. I suspect it's legit because the main way they ask me to action it is "via your myGov account". But I'm not certain because they also suggest phoning a number, and when I look at myGov I don't find anything related.
