I'm not really butt hurt. I'm actually a mod myself, but for a tiny community that doesn't get a bunch of awful comments. I really do have respect for the amount of garbage the mods in worldnews@lemmy.ml and memes@lemmy.ml have to go through. Most of the comments they remove are completely valid.
But this is a meme sub so...

Ah yes, those incredibly fair and balanced mods in worldnews@lemmy.ml, who remove my small joke comment but let the tankies brigade the comment section with propaganda. Yeah, they're doing a great job.
Def some better than others. I give them props because looking through the modlog, they are good at removing or banning trolls, bigots, and far right disinfo. I just personally disagree with the seemingly frequent support for Russia, China, North Korea, etc.
At least in memes, politics isn't the focus of the community.

I remember making a comment once on .ml about how a news source they linked isn't too credible, with mediafactbiascheck as source for that claim (as the site had historically gotten their news wrong), and the comment got removed for "blogspamming" or something lmao
There's certainly a degree of powertripping going over there with the mods, and I do feel like this one is gonna be removed as well for "bigotry" against mods or something

Ehh, the fragmented nature helps prevent systemic abuses that encourage that redditoid behavior, and also encourages instance hopping more regularly than once a decade.

Doesn't lemmy.ml always complain about their comments being deleted by lemmy.world? Sounds like most people care about this issue.
If they do, it's pretty funny since .ml has been the only instance I've had comments removed from and they were a small joke and asking a legitimate question.
