it's a line from the opening of ST:V - The Final Frontier.
[ Spock - in rocket boots- flies up to Kirk, who is ascending the face of El Capitan ]
KIRK: Spock, I'm trying to make an ascent here. Go bother Doctor McCoy!
i rammed all of the words together, mimicking the speech of william shatner
Between how long they had known each other at that point and the situation Kirk was in, I find calling him "Doctor McCoy" very jarring.
It was the very beginning of a movie that not everyone had seen the prequel to. If it had been a TV episode, Kirk would’ve just said “bones”
I'd worry more about a big sneeze
If you purposefully do something like this and then fall to your death, let's be honest. You were literally asking for it.
Not in all situations are people totally choosing to do this kind of stuff, and often not for the risk but an interesting dsstination. We don't really have the means to safely get everywhere, yet. Even driving on normal roads isn't without some lethal risk.
