Never forget a name. The little bits I do remember of my dreams are not really something I would care to record. Actually being able to remember names would be useful.

Dream recordings sound dope. The one niggle is that dreams are stupid and remembering names would have an actual practical use.

Of course dreams? Forgetting names is not thaat big of a problem, and I forget like all of them.

I mean most dreams don't make much sense and what are you gonna do with the video anyways.

Meanwhile never forgetting a name will remove awkward situations, so actually have a positive impact on your life

Okay thinking about that... I forget 99,9999% of stuff I do.

Then I would suddenly remember all my dreams.

I would go totally crazy.

Hell no, I take the names.

Does the dream recording technology come with organization so that later I can find the dreams I want to and always be able to play them back from their recorded format?

[-] SnokenKeekaGuard@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 3 months ago

Yeah they are just videos stored on your computer. Do with them what you will. Edit em, share em whatever

I'd go with the names thing.

Recording dreams doesn't seem useful

But I just had a cool dream and I wish I could see it again.

Definitely the dream one. That'd be so cool and useful for developing the technology to record dreams (get as many measurements as you can each night, then use the recording as the known good results to train an ML model). Or combine it with lucid dreaming to help film movies without needing cgi.

Surprised there's no love for dreams.

I don't remember my dreams. Maybe a few times a year, I'll remember a few fragmented scenes that don't make sense.

I'd love to go through some old dreams. I bet there's some funny wacky stuff in there. Maybe even some insight, and I don't mean magic fortune telling interpretation, I mean personal growth through closer examination of your subconscious.

I don't give a shit what anyone's name is, they all respond when I say "Hey you".

Yeah I'm on team dream

[-] ExtraMedicated@lemmy.world 3 points 3 months ago

I recall some dream fragments that are so disturbingly dumb that I'd love to forget them. I'll go with the names.

Dream is an easy answer.

However, if you give me a deathnote, name is no-brainer.

Welcome to c/WouldYouRather, where we present you with the toughest, most ridiculous choices you never knew you had to make! Would you rather have a third arm that's only useful for picking your nose, or be able to talk to animals but only if they're wearing hats? Yeah, it's that kind of vibe. Come for the absurdity, stay because you've clearly got nothing better to do with your life.
