The cars I already own and have no payments.
I was surprised that I actually liked the ~2017 Genesis G90 interior when I worked for Hyundai. But I think MSRP was pretty close to 90k. Felt better quality and was better looking IMO than Land Rovers and Jaguars I later worked on, but I mean, Land Rovers and Jaguars have gone down in quality lately so maybe that isn't a very high bar.
::: spoiler You really need to drive them to say anything truly relevant IMO. I've painted, worked on, and driven something like hundreds of cars and owned several. Even simply riding around a bit doesn't give you the full experience like driving them a lot.
I don't care about the textures and aesthetics as much as the driving experience. Along those lines, the Japanese sports cars of the 90's were pretty awesome like the 300zx, Supra, and RX7. Early 2k corvettes have a cool feel inside, but the long hood and blind spots suck. The late 80's M3's are freaking awesome experiences, older VW GTI's are cool too, although an older boxy Golf with a new interior swap is a real treat.
I tend to like the older less obese versions of everything. All modern cars are monstrous idiot life preservers by comparison. I always wanted a GC8 Impreza with a more modern STI interior and motor because I love that tiny four door mix of utility and racer in a car that looks sporty even with a higher suspension clearance.
I am however quite fond of the convertible experience. My old 71 FJ40 was probably my most unique car and a real head turner. Sure it was slow, but it was bulletproof solid even with half a million miles. That interior was modded with a spray on truck liner and sparse. I could go mudding and hose it out after. I absolutely loved driving that thing and the experience of it.
To me, it comes down to so many little details. I really like Camaros, Mustangs, and old muscle cars, rat rods, and chop tops too, but they all have generally poor driving and interior vibes. I like the experience and when the controls layout and mirrors are well dialed, but I'm weird.
what kind of car do you want? a sedan, coupe, 2 seater?
