I can't understand how super-rich people like Favre are so disgustingly greedy. The man has a private fortune of more than $100 million already.
Because for a lot of the super-rich, it's a competition to show who's the best. And the best is the richest. The more money you get, the better you are.
Yes, it's quite depressing that there is no referee who would have the authority or rather the will to prevent this degenerate behavior, to stay with a sports metaphor - there is unfortunately no fair play in most societies because there is no one to enforce it.
The billionaires are mocking him from their longer yachts.
Read the first five words of your title and immediately thought, "this is about Brett Favre". Kind of sad, and very fitting that this is the first thing I associate that human stain with.
