Open an issue on GitHub or make a post here?

I’d really like to see a “hide” for a post. For example as a go through Memes community and look at one… I’m done with the post and don’t need to see it anymore.

On Reddit you’d just hide the post and then you’d not need to worry about it - you can always look at all your hidden posts to remove the flag.

this sounds like a feature request that should be opened in lemmy-ui issue tracker.

GitHub would probably be the best place for feature requests.

That said the feature you're talking about is already (sorta) available. You can head over to your settings and disable "Show read posts" which will hide posts you either A) opened or B) up- downvoted.

I recently contributed a mark post as read button to the lemmy-ui which will hopefully be merged & released soon-ish.
