I’m glad that my grandparents are dead, because they would be absolutely horrified to see the state this country has put itself into. My grandfather fought against the Nazis and the fascists in World War II, not to mention the fact that he was a Jew. Both of my grandparents loved their neighbors and their friends and their family, no matter what. What I especially remember is their kindness to strangers.
If they were alive to see this time of suspicion, hate, and authoritarianism, I believe it would kill them.
My father is a full-tilt Republican Asshole and if his father was alive today, I think he’d kick my shitty father’s teeth in for what he’s become.

Basically most things have greatly increased in price, but wages have not increased nearly as much. Minimum wage was like $3.35 in 1990 and it's $7 something now.

If you go by what a politician tells you they are going to do for you, you end up voting for Trump.
You misunderstood what I said. Forget what any party or politician says. There is a "policy" being currently discussed - no more federal tax on tips. Think about that policy. Research the pro's and con's and vote for or against those proposing it. For instance with less revenue from taxation of tips we would all pay more in federal taxes to cover the shortfall OR employers says well I don't need to pay you a raise because now you are making more because you are getting tips that aren't being taxed. Anytime you listen to what the media, a political party, or a politician tells you and you believe it without question you are giving up your freedom
