It’s possible I was having so much fun I forgot to heal
hopped in for the first time an hour ago, exchanged all my flasks mid run for better ones then run into that one boss that blocks you from leaving and promptly died to the dead boss' last splash attack that I didn't notice because I was already focusing on all the shiny new things that started dropping:)
First death was getting surrounded by enemies and not being able to flee.
Getting body blocked as ranger who is listed as being able to not be body blocked is painful. Dying to getting hit by EVERY PROJECTILE from a boss when I jump OVER them also was painful.
Those dual bird fully random bosses in the desert was the only time I think things were just not fair, as I got a combo or two that was just impossible to deal with on mobs that have a jump you can’t get away from. (Stuff like temporal bubble making it even more impossible to do anything, I don’t remember the actual combos I died to.)
And then yeah, a few one shot mechanics that I did not see coming the first time around… oh and getting to the trials boss at half honor with 40% damage debuff first time around cuz I didn’t know those stayed forever and surviving was fine, just small AoE hits eating my honour sucked. But those were all learning experiences for the boss/trials.
The boss of the 'don't get touched' trial having 3 separate aoe ranged attacks that spawn from wherever they feel like it is a hell of a choice. It took me two attempts, the second one I just focused on my character and did the usual bullet hell way.
Ah I haven’t had that yet, something to uh, look forward to. Lol.
Just got done with act 1. Only died to the final boss a couple times so far.
i play a warrior. i died a couple of times for sure. either bosses or trash mobs. always seems fair. it's a grind game after all and better gear solves everything, even the honour ascendency dungeon is trivialized. i'm starting act3 it's super fun to stun ennemies then punching them. i like different ennemies on every map. with different pattern and optimum way to kill them. i have my nemesis of course which surely are not the same as rangers.
As I'm trying and adjusting my passive skills tree and gems skills with passives... A lot of deaths in any circumstances.
