I fully intended to buy Proton Unlimited during the black friday discounts, but wasn't anywhere with an internet connection and missed out. I need a VPN and a properly secure email service before January. Is it worth waiting to see if they post a christmas or new years deal or should I just do it and deal with it? I don't know if they've historically posted Christmas discounts or if it is just the Black Friday thing.

If you happen to be a student or know someone who is, register an account with studentbeans.com and get a 50% discount independent of any special sales days.

Edit: It's even 62% for the full proton suite, 50% was only for the VPN (which I got).

Ooh that's actually good, my girlfriend is on her last year of college I bet I can use her info. Might even go halvsies on a duo plan as she's voiced interest in switching off of google.

You could always contact their support explaining the situation. Maybe they'll make an exception?

I'm honestly not gonna be that kind of support ticket beggar. I'm not that hard up for cash and that feels slimy lol

Up to you, but it really is based on now you ask. It's not slimy unless you use underhanded tactics or beg. If someone reached out to me who just missed a sale and were excited about my product, I'd be happy to help them out.

If they don’t do a Christmas sale they could have a new years one.
