Summary

Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL) argued that California does not deserve federal aid for its deadly Los Angeles wildfires unless the state adopts changes.

In a Newsmax interview, Tuberville criticized California leadership, falsely attributing wildfire mismanagement to "inner-city woke policies."

While he expressed willingness to support some funding, he insisted it be conditional on reforms.

The wildfires have killed 24 people and destroyed thousands of homes, per the Associated Press, intensifying debates on state accountability and federal disaster relief.

Not American but doesn't money from California routinely go to 3rd world, mismanaged, bumfuck red states for everything from disasters to public funding? And yet I've never seen the states where the majority of money is telling these people that they're going to withhold funding unless they stop fucking their sisters.

They 100% deserve a blank check for disaster relief... BECAUSE THEY PAY THE MOST TAXES.

If the feds don't have enough money to go after the super rich for not paying taxes, there's no way they have the funding to go after an entire state that keeps all the tax money meant for the federal side. 😏

Geez. But if their hometown was burning, then yeah sure. Billions.

As a tax payer I can only say "WTF". I got no power to route my money to things I care about. Like climate change.
