Hang on, is that Isildur's only line?
Unless you count Gandalf reading Isildur's scroll, which I think is only in the extended cut.

Yes, the one most people actually watch.
I thought most people still watching LOTR are LOTR fans, and LOTR fans only watch the extended editions.
So the most people have seen the theatrical, but the extended gets watched most? Seems plausible.

Ah, you sure missed out. Seeing them as soon as they came out it was quite an experience. But at least they hold up well. They still look better than most modern movies.
And he doesn’t even do the voice for it, it was done by Hugo Weaving in a voice over. So Hugo is technically talking to himself in this scene.
