I would be disappointed by a compiler that turns an integer switch into a linear search

I would be very surprised if they do use binary search. Anyone want to check?

Having a standard library is for a weak and decadent so called developers.

Of course true software engineers talk to their computers. No need for fancy strings when the output is raw binary.
