is it the regular twelve yolks per dozen with some doubles or is it only ten yolks all singles ?

I think it's that European chickens are better than American chickens and there are two yolks per egg, so 20 yolks. I think the extra 8 yolks are used as a base for the protective glaze they put on their houses.

At least, that's not what I learned in school.

I have a green one, one I found in a nest in the tree outside my apartment, and a very rare kintsugi one (I dropped it and hot glued it back together)
